Each has been selected for their ability to contribute expertise in areas of the business where the company feels support is required. A profile of the management team, outside Board Members and Advisors follow.

   
 

Rob Qualls - Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Rob Qualls

Mr. Qualls has over 26 years of experience in marketing, sales, and general management in the vehicle and heavy equipment technology industries. He has been pursuing the development of fluid condition monitoring technology as an entrepreneur for the last nine years, founding Sentelligence with Linden and Coates in 2000. Prior to that, he held executive positions as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Puradyn Filter Technologies,, Vice president of Marketing for HighwayMaster, National Director of Sales and Marketing for Advantage Battery, a division of Grupo Imsa, and Director of Sales and Marketing for GNB Technologies with the Battery Distributor Group. Mr. Qualls has been published in numerous trade publications relating to the commercial automotive industry. He attended the University of Kentucky majoring in Business Administration.

   
 

John Coates, Ph.D., Csci, CChem, FRSC – Chief Technology Officer

John Coates

Dr. Coates is a globally recognized expert in optical spectroscopy, lubricant analysis, and analytical instrumentation. He led the development of a leading off-line oil analysis system that is marketed by Global Technovations, Inc. and is available at truck stops and Jiffy LubeT locations across the US. Dr. Coates has worked for various instrumentation manufacturers since 1974, including Perkin-Elmer, Spectra-Tech, and Nicolet, serving in several technical roles, including staff scientist and senior technologist, as well as in technology-based business development roles. He also serves as an advisor to the US Department of Energy. Dr. Coates is author of more than 95 technical papers, articles, book chapters, patents and other publications. He is a regular contributor and column editor for Spectroscopy magazine. He holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Brunel University in the United Kingdom.

   
 

Derek Kaufman – Board Member and Advisor

Derek Kaufman

As the Founder and President of C3 Network, Inc. Derek and his team take equity positions in start-up companies and manage new product launches. The C3 Network team, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan has formed the MetaLab Investment Fund with targeted investments in transportation related innovation. Mr. Kaufman is also the acting President of Jones Body Company, a MetaLab investment. In addition to his board activities for Sentelligence, Derek is currently on the boards of Reid Tool Supply, an industrial supply company in Muskegon, Michigan; Vermeer Manufacturing, a producer of industrial and agricultural equipment in Pella, Iowa and Viking Group, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of fire protection equipment in Hastings, Michigan. Derek has held senior management positions as President of Diesel Technology, a subsidiary of Penske Corporation, Sr. Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Support for Hino Trucks, a subsidiary of Toyota, Vice President of Marketing for Freightliner Corporation and Vice President of Product Support for Euclid Trucks. Derek is a BSME graduate of General Motors Institute.

   
 

Garrick Hu – Board Member and Advisor

Garrick Hu

Garrick has over 30 years of commercial vehicle experience in advanced engineering. Most recently he served as Vice President of Global Engineering for ArvinMeritor - Commercial Vehicle Systems. Earlier in his career he served as Group Vice President of advanced Engineering for Volvo Global Truck Group, including its Mack and Renault nameplates. He has also served in senior engineering positions with Navistar and PACCAR. Hu received his BA and MSE from the University of Michigan and his MBA from Chapman College.

   
 

V. William "Bill" Hunt – Advisor and Investor

V William Hunt

Mr. Hunt is the former Vice Chairman and President of ArvinMeritor, Inc. a $7 billion, global supplier of a broad range of integrated systems, modules and components for light vehicle, commercial truck, trailer and specialty original manufacturers (OEMs) and related aftermarkets. Before the July, 2000 merger of Arvin, Inc. and Meritor Automotive, Inc., Bill was Chairman and CEO of Arvin, Inc., a global manufacturer of automotive components, including exhaust systems, ride control products and air, oil, and fuel filters. Bill joined Arvin as counsel in 1976, became Vice President Administration, secretary in 1982, and Executive Vice President in 1990, President in 1996, and CEO in 1998. A member of Arvin's Board of Directors since 1983, he was named Chairman in 1999. Before joining Arvin, Bill practiced labor relations law in Indianapolis and served as labor counsel to TRW Automotive Worldwide.

   
 

Tom Gosnell – Advisor and Investor

Tom Gosnell

Recently retired, Tom has over 25 years of operational experience working with ArvinMeritor, where prior to retirement he served as President of the company's largest business unit - "Commercial Vehicle Systems." Over the years with ArvinMeritor, He has demonstrated the breadth of his management and leadership skills across many functions including; purchasing, materials, plant management and aftermarket operations. Gosnell received his undergraduate degree at Denison University and his MBA from Xavier University.

   


Craig Stinson – Advisor and Investor

Craig Stinson

With over 25 years of experience in supplying components and modules to the automotive OE market and general industry, Craig has garnered significant experience in applying lean manufacturing, establishing off-shore ventures, and developing new systems and technologies. Stinson has served as CEO of Breeze Industrial Products, a provider of proprietary joining technologies for Automotive, commercial vehicle, and general industrial applications. Earlier in his career, he served as President of ArvinMeritor's largest division - Light Vehicle Systems along with other senior management positions. Stinson received his undergraduate degree in Finance from Oakland University and his MBA from the University of Michigan.

   

Scott Cassel – Advisor and Investor

Scott is currently President of NORMA Americas, a global provider of highly engineered connecting solution technologies for a broad range of end markets including light and commercial vehicles. Cassel has over 30 years of senior management experience in the commercial transportation sector including Torca, a developer of innovative exhaust system connecting solutions. Cassel attended the University of Michigan Colege of Engineering and has authored or co-authored 35 US and Foreign patents.
