SENTELLIGENCE RECEIVES PATENT ISSUE FROM “UNITED STATES PATENT AND TRADEMARK OFFICE” FOR LOW COST ON-LINE AND IN-LINE SPECTRAL SENSORS BASED ON SOLID STATE SOURCE AND DETECTOR COMBINATIONS FOR MONITORING LUBRICANTS AND FUNCTIONAL FLUIDS

March 4, 2008 – Sentelligence, Inc. a provider of intelligent fluid diagnostic sensors to the commercial automotive and heavy equipment industries, announces it has received an “Issue Notification” from the “United States Patent and Trademark Office” for application number 10/492,660 “Low Cost On-Line And In-Line Spectral Sensors Based On Solid State Source And Detector Combinations For Monitoring Lubricants And Functional Fluids.”
“This is a tremendous milestone for Sentelligence,” stated Dr. John Coates, Sentelligence Chief Technology Officer, “We filed our provisional patent in October 2001 and were awarded 34 out of 35 claims, the rejected claim being a minor, inconsequential aspect of the overall patent. The patent is significant and covers a broad range of applications for our optical sensing technology.”
